Environmental conditions:
The ambient temperature should not be lower than 16℃, relative humidity below 75%. This is because PCB as a composite material will absorb moisture, if not to tide, Conformal Coating can not give full play to the protective role. pre-drying, vacuum drying can remove most of the moisture.
Preparation before coating:
The PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) surface must be tested, inspected and thoroughly cleaned. shall remove all contaminants, such as solder, rosin, dust, oil, flux and residue, etc.
If necessary, put PCBA into the oven for drying. The drying time and temperature shall be set according to the coating requirements of the Conformal Coating.
Coating operation:
Apply with a high quality brush or spray equipment, to ensure uniform coating of PCB board and components, color and consistency.
The spray thickness is generally controlled between 0.05mm and 0.15mm, special products may be slightly different.
After coating, put PCBA into the oven for drying. The drying time and temperature shall be set according to the coating requirements of the three anti-paint.
Quality requirements:
The coated PCBA surface should be smooth, no bubbles, no flow hanging, no leakage coating, no recoating phenomenon.
The paint film should have good moisture-proof, shock-proof, dust-proof, anti-corrosion, anti-aging, corona resistance and other properties.
Check the paint film, to ensure uniform coating, no hanging, no bubbles and other defects. and water resistance, salt spray resistance, temperature resistance and other performance tests, to ensure that the paint film can meet the requirements of the product.
Perform adhesion test of the paint film, to ensure the adhesion of the paint film to the PCB surface.
Personnel protection:
Wear splash-proof goggles, protective gloves, and a gas mask.
